The Industrial Maintenance Certificate program is designed to give a student the basic skills required of a maintenance technician. All courses in the program are also included and required in the Industrial Maintenance Technology Associates Degree program.

Program Courses

EL 162 - Control Systems Credit Hours: 2
EL 163 - Electrical Troubleshooting Credit Hours: 2
EL 164 - Programmable Logic Controllers Credit Hours: 3
You must take one (1) of the following options for Basic Electricity and Electronics. Select [EL 106 and EL 107], or EL 144.
EL 106 - Technical Electricity Credit Hours: 4
AND
EL 107 - Technical Electronics Credit Hours: 4
OR
EL 144 - Basic Electricity and Electronics Credit Hours: 4
Select a minimum of three (3) courses from the following.
MN 113 - Mechanical Power Transmission Credit Hours: 2
MN 199 - Theory of Machine Operations Credit Hours: 3
MN 217 - Hydraulics Credit Hours: 4
MN 218 - Pneumatics Credit Hours: 3
Select a minimum of one (1) of the following Welding courses.
MN 116 - Basic Welding Credit Hours: 2
MN 134 - Basic Oxyacetylene Welding Credit Hours: 2
MN 136 - Basic Arc Welding Credit Hours: 4
MN 202 - MIG / Gas Metal Arc Welding Credit Hours: 3
MN 203 - TIG / Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Credit Hours: 3
MN 231 - Welding Fabrication, Design, and Testing Credit Hours: 4
MN 232 - Technical Pipe Welding Credit Hours: 5
Select one (1) of the following courses (or see Program Notes for alternative Mathematics courses).
EL 132 - Electronics Mathematics Credit Hours: 4
OR
MA 107 - Intermediate Algebra Credit Hours: 4
OR
TE 103 - Intermediate Technical Mathematics Credit Hours: 4

Program Elective Courses

Select a minimum of five (5) Program Elective credit hours from any DR, EL, EG, HVA, MN, or TE courses.

The number of Program Elective credit hours that you will need to complete this degree will depend on the number of credit hours that remain in order for you to reach the 60 credits needed to graduate. For assistance in developing an academic plan, please see a GRCC advisor or faculty member.
