Suggested GRCC Program:

Associate in Arts and Sciences

Note: This program is articulated with the Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture at Lawrence Technological University.

This program is a pre-architecture degree designed to transfer to Lawrence Technological University (LTU) for a B.S. Degree in Architecture. Students completing this program and 2 Integrated Design Studios, offered by LTU on GRCC’s campus, will be able to transfer to LTU as a Junior.

The following schedule is presented as a guide only. Courses may be taken in any order as long as all requirements (including prerequisites) are met.

First Year (Fall)

Second Year

Total Credits: 64/65

* It is strongly recommended that students intending to transfer to the Bachelor of Science in Architecture Degree at Lawrence Technological University (LTU), meet with their GRCC advisor during Freshman year. Students intending to transfer their Junior Year to LTU in addition to accomplishing the above program also need:

  • LTU accepts a 2.2 GPA from transfer schools. However, LTU does not accept transfer grades of C- or below. Any grade C- or below negates the articulation agreement and completed requirements will be evaluated on a course-bycourse basis.
  • 3 to 4 More Credits in a Humanities Elective
  • ARC 2117 and ARC 2126 – Integrated Design Studios from Lawrence Technological University These studios will be offered during the third and fourth semester, which will require some of the GRCC courses to be taken during the summer to provide time for the studios. (AT 130 , AT 150 , AT 201  and AR 202 are prerequisites for ARC 2117. AR 129  and ARC 2117 are prerequisites for ARC 2126.)

** Acceptable courses for the Humanities Elective are:

AT 105 , AT 106 , EN 233 , EN 235 , EN 237 , EN 247 , EN 248 , EN 252 , EN 261 , EN 262 , EN 270 , EN 271 , EN 275 , EN 281 , EN 282 , HU 204 , HU 205 , HU 274 , MUS 109 , MU 235, MU 236, or MU 237
