As our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology, more and more information is being stored digitally. As a result, the threat of identity and information theft is growing. Companies and organizations need talented individuals who can keep their company safe from digital theft and other malicious invasions into intellectual property. This degree provides the student with an Associates of Arts (A.A.) Degree, which can be transferred toward a Bachelors degree.

The Information Security bachelor’s Degree prepares individuals to assess the security needs of computer and network systems; recommend safeguard solutions, and manage the implementation and maintenance of security devices, systems, and procedures. Includes instruction in computer architecture, programming, and systems analysis; networking; telecommunications; cryptography; security system design; applicable law and regulations; risk assessment and policy analysis; contingency planning; user access issues; and troubleshooting.

This program will prepare the student for the CompTIA Security+, Linux+, Cisco CCNA Security, and the EC-Council’s Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) credential.
