This program provides students with one year of training so they can assume positions as beginning detail designers in business and industry. An introduction to computer-aided design (CAD) is a feature of this program.
All credits earned in this certificate program may be applied toward the Associate in Applied Arts and Sciences in Mechanical Design.
Some advanced-standing credit may be granted to entering graduates of high school drafting or machine tool programs that are members of the Kent Metropolitan Articulation Project. The following scheme is presented as a guide only. Courses may be taken in any order as long as all requirements (including prerequisites) are met. Total Credits: 33/35
* If taking MA 110 , only one math course is required. Mechanical Design Electives
