CO 255 - Oracle Database Administration

The Oracle Database Administration course covers administration tasks and understanding of Oracle database architecture. Database manageability, performance, reliability, security, and availability will be covered. Command line utilities and graphical interfaces will be used to manage the database. Students will learn the foundations of Structured Query Language (SQL) and Procedural Language/Structured Query Language (PL/SQL). This course is a part of Oracle Academy program and prepares students to the first exam towards the Oracle Certified Associate certification. Recommended: It is recommended but not required that students have some experience with databases or have taken CO 170 or CO 171 before taking this class.
