Description
College Choir  is a SATB choral ensemble that is open to all students without any audition. The ensemble will prepare and perform choral literature diverse in language, chronology, cultural and geographic origin, and composer demographics.

  • Apply appropriate choral singing technique and collaborative skill toward a high level of ensemble performance, musical expression, and stage decorum.
  • Adapt and develop individual sense of pulse, intonation, tone quality, and dynamics through active listening within the ensemble.
  • Apply understanding of performance practice in a variety of choral literature to achieve stylistically informed performances.
  • Use appropriate posture, gestures, eye contact, and vocal expression to effectively communicate a musical text. 
  • Demonstrate musical literacy through sight singing.
  • Apply constructive feedback through  practice and preparation of  individual parts outside of class time.
  • Reflect collaboratively on the outcome of a given performance.
