Corequisites: None Description: This course is designed for pre-service elementary teachers (Birth–Grade 8). Students engage in in-depth explorations of sets, set operations, and geometric concepts, including classifications, planar and spatial figures, transformations, congruence, and similarity, as well as the measurement of geometric attributes and the analysis of measurement systems and unit conversions. Pedagogy focuses on developing conceptual understanding through representations, manipulatives, and technology, along with mathematical communication and reasoning. Clinical experience includes observing and analyzing student work and classroom interactions, developing activities to enhance student understanding, facilitating mathematical discussions, and reflecting on instructional practice.
