AUT 275 - Hybrid Vehicle Operation, Maintenance, and Diagnostics


Description
In this course students learn basic operation, maintenance and diagnostics unique to hybrid vehicles. Course content focuses on high voltage safety procedures, use of specialized diagnostic equipment for high voltage systems, high voltage drive system diagnostics and repair, and power system diagnostics.

  1. Safely perform high voltage battery disconnect procedure.

  2. Diagnose high voltage system malfunctions.

  3. Remove and install the high voltage battery pack.

  4. Determine if a symptom is caused by the high voltage drive system or the internal combustion engine.

  5. Clearly and completely state and describe a problem/ issue. 

  6. Develop a plan to implement a solution to a problem or issue.

  7. Complete work accurately, with attention to detail.
