2. Use the building code for the appropriate selection of materials for the building.
3. Understand the responsibilities of the Building Official in the building process.
4. Understand the responsibilities of the contractor in order to assure the building is in conformance to the code.
5. Understand the responsibilities of the architectural observer during construction to assure the building is in conformance to the code.
6. Understand the implications of Land Use (Zoning Ordinances) to the building process.
7. Differentiate between Residential and Commercial Building Code requirements.
8. Create and/or organize data and information into meaningful patterns in order to interpret and draw inferences from it.
