Description: This course is an exploration of the unique dynamics within juvenile facilities, and is designed to prepare students with the knowledge and tools needed to provide services and custodial care to youth in a residential setting. A thorough examination of the juvenile justice system will embody the challenges juveniles face in a residential setting. A strong emphasis will be placed on custodial care, behavior modification, and de-escalation techniques.
