PY 251 - Education Psychology Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours: 3 Prerequisites/Other Requirements: PY 201 (C or Higher)
English Prerequisites:
- IRW 98 or above (C or above) OR
- SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 400 and above OR
- ACT English and Reading combined score 26 and above (valid February 2018 forward) OR
- Accuplacer Writing of 4 and NextGen Reading of 249 and above (valid October 2018 forward) OR
- Accuplacer Writing of 5 above (valid October 2018 forward)

Corequisites: None Description: This course studies how psychology is applied to understanding teaching and learning in educational settings. It is designed to meet the pre-professional requirements for students who are planning on transferring as education majors to a four year school; therefore there is an out of classroom service learning component to the course.
