Corequisites: None Description: This course is designed to introduce students to the discipline of hand-building in ceramics. Students learn the technical processes involved in forming clay through pinch pots, coil pots, slab pots, and kiln firing techniques. Students use a variety of basic glaze applications. Upon completion of the course, students demonstrate a knowledge of the methods, as well as an understanding of the craftsmanship and aesthetics involved in contemporary and historical ceramics.
