AR 208 - Design Studio: Commercial Building Design Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours: 4 Prerequisites/Other Requirements: AR 105 (D- or Higher) and AR 106 (D- or Higher) and AR 129 (D- or Higher)

Corequisites: None Description: In this course, students learn the process of designing a commercial building from the initial programming to the design development of a building. Sustainable design practices and multiple disciplines, such as architecture and engineering, are incorporated into the design of the building. Students work both individually and as teams during the design process. Students use CAD, Computer Aided Design, and BIM, Building Information Modeling, to generate drawings and images.
