Corequisites: None Description: This course is an introduction to the study of the plays and poetry of William Shakespeare. The course explores the variety of dramatic modes in which Shakespeare worked, emphasizing both textual study and performance; some attention is also given to the Elizabethan and Jacobean context in which the author worked, and to his enduring influence on literature.
