Corequisites: None Description: A detailed examination of the justice process for juveniles in the United States. An analysis of the structure and function of the Juvenile Court: the nature of juvenile crime and society’s reaction to it. It will also examine the role and practice of diversion, probation, detention, institutions, waivers, law enforcement, laws, theoretical premises as they relate to juveniles and the agencies, organizations, programs that are utilized to address the treatment/sanctions of juveniles. Also addressed will be recommendations for future juvenile corrections programs.
Recommended Skills: High school equivalent math and reading skills.
