College Level Prerequisites: GRCC College Level Writing (English ACT 18 or higher OR EN 097 (grade of C or higher) or higher OR English (Write Placer Plus) 5 or higher)

Description: Students are assigned personal writing based upon freewritings, journal writing, and readings in various genres of literature and nonfiction. Autobiography, personal narratives, dialogs, informal scripts, personal essays, and I-centered research writing are emphasized with the goal of increasing student’s awareness of audience, of how writers adapt language for specific audiences, and of public written forms and conventions. Students must pass this course with a C or higher in order to enroll in EN 102.
