College Level Prerequisites: None Description: This course examines the structure, functions, and issues of state and local government with an emphasis on the State of Michigan. It covers the separation of powers and overlapping jurisdictions of states, counties, townships, cities, villages, and school districts. The issues of sovereignty, crime, education, economic development, and government finances will also be discussed.
Recommended: EN 102 or equivalent - A student will need to be able to do college level writing, as well as use critical thinking skills.
