The Art, Architecture, and Mechanical Design Pathway is a good fit for creative students who enjoy developing new ideas, collaboration, designing products, and developing new skills. Academic programs in this pathway can lead to careers in mechanical or architectural design, art and design, photography, and fine arts among others.
Pathway Program
The pathway associate degree is designed to help students deciding on their academic and career goals to identify an area of interest. It is also designed for students who are interested in transferring to a college or university to complete a bachelor’s degree in an area where GRCC does not have an academic program. This degree can be customized to meet individual student’s needs. It also allows students to fulfill general education and graduation requirements at GRCC and transfer to a 4-year institution to complete a bachelor’s degree.
Transfer Programs
Transfer Programs are designed to fulfill GRCC general education and graduation requirements and prepare students to transfer to a college or university to complete a bachelor’s degree. Transfer type associate degree programs focus on prerequisite coursework to a particular major, while articulated transfer degrees are based on formal agreements and are guaranteed to transfer to a college or university if minimum grades and other stated standards are met.
