The Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Brewing Pathway is a good fit for energetic students who work well on teams, are flexible and organized, and want to work in an environment where art converges with science, and talent melds with technique. Academic programs in this pathway can be a gateway to exciting careers in culinary arts, tourism, hospitality, and brewing among others.
Pathway Program
The pathway associate degree is designed to help students deciding on their academic and career goals to identify an area of interest. It is also designed for students who are interested in transferring to a college or university to complete a bachelor’s degree in an area where GRCC does not have an academic program. This degree can be customized to meet individual student’s needs. It also allows students to fulfill general education and graduation requirements at GRCC and transfer to a 4-year institution to complete a bachelor’s degree.
Career Programs
Career programs are designed to prepare students for employment or advancement in a specific career field. These programs include both associate degrees and certificates and are not intended for transfer. Career Associate Degree programs meet the GRCC graduation requirements, but do not require completion of all of the GRCC general education requirements.

Transfer Programs
Transfer Programs are designed to fulfill GRCC general education and graduation requirements and prepare students to transfer to a college or university to complete a bachelor’s degree. Transfer type associate degree programs focus on prerequisite coursework to a particular major, while articulated transfer degrees are based on formal agreements and are guaranteed to transfer to a college or university if minimum grades and other stated standards are met.
