Corequisites: None Description: BA 101 is designed to introduce students to technical and business communication. Students develop skills in writing business letters, memos, e-mail, and employment communications. They study the principles of business writing styles, learn organizational strategies for different types of business communications (positive, negative, and persuasive), and review proper writing mechanics, including sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation. Some sections may include a community-based experience, allowing students to participate in a service project that is related to course content. This may or may not include time spent in the community outside of class.
